Our Three Step Process

New One-page Website for Surasang

The old website of Surasang was not built with SEO, the audience, the user journey nor the business requirements in mind. Surasang is a Korean restaurant so CloudIA decided to recreate the website to be fast, responsive and targets audiences who has cravings for Korean food. This is very important because in the local South African market, Korean culture interests are booming and a lot of people (usually younger generations) are looking for authentic korean foods to try out. To stand out against other Korean restaurants, we went with a slightly more premium feel approach as is the brand colours and the restaurant look and feel as well as their cutlery. We went the extra mile and gave Surasang a digital online menu that customers can view simply by scanning a QR code in the restaurant while also making the design more premium.

Client Background: Surasang is a Korean BBQ and Hot Pot restaurant based in South Africa and currently holds 2 branches. They are fairly new in the market and has taken a more "premium" approach to the restaurant than the competition. People can enjoy very authentic Korean foods with a lovely ambience. Though their offline brick-and-mortar shop was looking premium, their website contradicted that style.

Challenge: User retention on the website was low and there was not a lot of site traffic and conversions happening on their previous website.

Solution: CloudIA stepped in and created a simple yet elegant website that is both fast and intuitive. A website doesn't have to be full of bells-and-whistles if it doesn't have to be. We analyzed the company's ideal target market and mapped out a user journey to make the website feel easy to navigate and only focus on important points that can ultimately get that table reservation from the customer.
